On July 24, 2008, it was a sad day for our family. We took Devin to the Las Vegas Airport after the St. George RoadRunners so rudely released him from the team. He signed with the Gateway Grizzlies the next week and did REALLY well (I listened to the games on the internet). You will notice Bronson's sunburned face --- the three of them went fishing at Sand Hollow earlier in the week and Bronson forgot to apply sunscreen even though I packed it for him. Oh well, a lesson learned. We miss you Devin Collis!!!

I WON
On Friday, October 17, 2008 I received a notification that I won a Dell computer, flat screen monitor, and inkjet printer for myself and one for my son's school in the Coca Cola/Family Dollar Computer Sweepstakes. I mailed in an entry form I picked up at Family Dollar. It was one entry per person, so I entered myself, Aaron, and my mom. The next day my mom called and she also received a win notification. I'm still in shock!!!

Aaron heads to Vernal
With the economy being as it is, and Aaron's employment looking as if there may be a reduction in work (which calculates to a reduction in pay), we decided that Aaron needed to head to Vernal for work. The oil fields are busy and Vernal is booming. Aaron really hates to leave Barney Trucking as they have been extremely good to him, but he will be starting his new job in Vernal on October 27, 2008.
I used to consider myself to be a fairly independent person, but I've noticed that the longer I am married, the more dependent I become.
It is going to be a challenge for our family having Aaron 400 miles away, but we will have to make it work. I told Aaron it would be easier on me to have him gone if he treated me like crap, but that won't ever happen.

We've Been Tagged
I was outside and noticed a lot of writing on the block wall. I asked Keaton if he knew anything about it, to which he admitted he had done it. I explained to him that we don't write on walls, to which he replied, "At least it was math."

Is it Time for "The Talk"
On Monday, September 29, 2008, I asked Keaton to do something for me shortly before bedtime.
Keaton: I'm tired.
Mom: Maybe I should have another kid that will do nice things for me.
Keaton: Aren't you too old to have a baby because you're 44.
Mom: Actually, I can't have babies anymore
Keaton: Why?
Mom: Because I don't have the right equipment.
Keaton: What equipment?
Mom: I had surgery and I can't have babies anymore.
Keaton: Was that when you had surgery for your gobbler?
Mom: You mean gallbladder. No, I had a hysterectomy and I can't have babies anymore.
Keaton: Maybe you should have made me a twin.
Mom: You can't just "make" someone a twin.
Keaton: How do you make someone a twin?
Mom: It just happens.
Keaton: Does that mean that you do it longer?
